03 e500 some illumination never turns off, drains battery pls assist
A couple of weeks ago I went out to my car at night and noticed that the shifter illumination remains on and shows an orange light, also the keyhole in the glovebox is orange, and the rear climate control red up arrow and blue down arrow. Furthermore the vent illumination is on too.
my battery is draining in about a day and a half (my assumption is as a result of the above). I did some troubleshooting and due to the mileage of the car (120,000 miles) I replaced the battery control module in the trunk as well as checked all the fuses (all good). Also replaced both batteries in the vehicle. I’ve searched these forums and can’t find any threads where the illumination to some of the components remains on. Does anyone have any insight on what this issue could be ? Thanks in advance for the assistance ! Below are photos of what remains on
