Maintenance: What suspension bushings/joints would you replace?

I'm replacing my front rotors and pads in the next few weeks, and got to thinking... while I'm here, are there any suspension bushings/joints I should replace? Is there something that I should be replacing because of age/mileage, or something that's pretty easy and I might as well since I'm at it? Any specific items that you'd say would make it drive or feel different in a positive way?

It's an '07 E350 RWD @ 100k.... appreciate any recommendations!

Opening up a can of worms.... while I'm here.... that is what starts it for everyone.

Most common items that wear out on the front suspension would be either lower ball joints and/or the torque strut control arm.

But eventually almost everything wears out. A full rebuild of the front suspension can sometime be beneficial because you can replace everything all at one time. Just don't buy cheap aftermarket parts. Stick with known quality suppliers, either factory Benz or Lemforder OEM types.

Yeah, it's going to be where do you stop. Mine is slightly different as it's 4matic. I've done springs, struts, ball joints, outer tie rods, ball joints, upper and lower control arms, and sway bar links. Not to mention cv joint boots. But you could check yours first before just replacing them.

I've replaced everything on my front and and it was totally worth it. Upper and lower ball joints, both lower control arms, end links, steering tie rods. It's really not all that expensive or complicated. The lower ball joints need to be pressed out. Uppers are easy bolt in. Drive it on a bumpy street slowly with windows down. Youll be able to hear the creaks and groans from front suspension.

You're in the wrong forum for an S class, this is the E class forum. But the full factory manual is in the WIS with all procedures. Not that easy to use, but you can get a knock off copy of it on eBay in the $10 range. Just search for Mercedes WIS. It will also come with EPC which is their electronic parts catalog, you just punch in your vin and it will tell you what part numbers you need for your car.
