Speaker and amp recommendations for non HK system
I've finally decided to bite the bullet and change my speakers. Any recommendations? Should I change all four or just the front 2? 2 way or 3 way speakers? Brand? Amp?

All you need to do is add a 4 channel amp for your speakers. You DO NOT need to change the speakers at all. You can add a sub woofer to put more bass into your system. Ive added two amps and a subwoofer and it sounds great. I am a car audio fanatic, an MECP certified installer and Ive been installing sound systems since 1988 so I know what I'm talking about. The factory amp is located behind the fuse box in trunk (drivers side). All the wires you need are there. Wire in a Hi/Low converter. Also the battery is there as well so the installation is fairly easy.

How is a high/low converter installed? I replaced the speakers and amn in the process of adding an amp. I am also curious how I can use the 2.5" kick panel speakers without running speaker wire through the car. They seem like they are not wired to the amp. I assume they are for the navigation system which I dont have.
