Cooling fans for Panoramic Roof deleted for 05?
Prior to 05 model it was possible to order as an additional option cooling fans along with the Panoramic Roof. These fans were solar powered and kept the interior cool when the vehicle was parked in the sun. I was looking at a 2005 E Class brouchure and failed to see this option advertised. Is it still available on the Netstar ordering system? I know it was not offered with the Pano on the new 2005 diesel E. Is it no longer available on any U.S. spec 2005 E? How about overseas purchasers?

Nope, it is no longer offered as an available option in the US. I wanted it, too. Also, you can no longer individually option the Power Rear Shade (nor the side window shades) with the Panorama Roof. I just can't figure out what goes on in the minds of MBUSA.
