2003 mercedes benz E320
Limp mode

I have 2003 E320, the car got stick in drive one day with the red battery message on the dash. Got it home used an all systems diagnosis took and got several codes. I replaced main battery, break light switch, conductor plate, and the shifter. After replacing the shifter it came out of drive and it's now able to go through all the gears but crank it up and battery light still comes on and now it is stuck in limp mode. Tried to clear out the code but code 9092 auxiliary battery defective or not installed vibes back, check voltage and drain but battery holds strong at 12.6v. I get 9070 cut off relay faulty 9082 value terminal 15 supplied by control module EZS over there CAN is implausible along with other minor codes. Like 9330,9063,9091,9055, and 9096. Amy one for any ideas what to do next?

Seems like the code is for the auxiliary battery and you mentioned that you replaced the main battery. Did you check the aux battery in the front?

At 11.7V, that means that the aux battery is at less than 30% charge. You can have it tested at an auto parts store, but that is very much a bad battery. You can also check the manufacture date and it's older than 3 years, you need to replace it. After you replace it, clear the DTCs and see what you are left with.

Changed the auxillary battery up front and cleared the codes. All the major ones cleared and passed the next scan. I still get a code for the secondary injection air and no normalizing of head restraint adjustment and components S41 and S42 coolant level seitch and washer fluid level are defective or have open circuit. The overhead instrument panel and the red battery message still appears. But now when i sit with the break on and go through the gears it goes in and out of gear real hard. Kinda like just dumping the clutch in a manual transmission. Ive rechecked the fluid with the dipstick tool i bought from MB and its ti the fill line. And ideas or suggestions would be great. My wife been without this car for two weeks and desperately needs it to go back to work.

So your aux battery was definitely bad based on the DTC and on the fact that you tested it and it would rapidly drop to 11.7V. Regarding the rest, they can be caused by the same source or they can be unrelated. Just by looking at DTCs you can't come to a conclusion. You need someone to do some diagnose probably starting with all the the electric systems. A few things that you can try in the meantime is to try to find out if these components have a common ground point and clean it; check for oxidized fuses that might be related to the systems with DTCs. Someone with a bidirectional scan tool can perform additional tests on modules and other components to diagnose what is the culprit. I used this guy for an SRS problem I had and he helped me resolve it (Tech Connect (cartechconnect.com)) . He also has a youtube channel (Master Tech Lou - YouTube)
