Secret menu
Hi there, I own a w211 220 cdi and when I enter the secret menu (you press ODOMETER RESET button 3 times) I can see which engine is in my car by the engine code written in the menu. The thing is that I know that those e class's came with om646 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine, but in the menu it says that I have om611 de 22 la 100. And that engine was in w210 e class.
Can someone explain this, thank you.

check your vin via decoder like lastvin.com - you will know what engine this car came out of factory with...
as for clusters indicating wrong engine code - can be something as simple as wrong coding (e.g. during cluster replacement or somebody messed it up when configuring extra options).
