07 E550 Battery Problem
So the battery go's dead at times for no apparent reason,Like I can go out it starts fine cranks strong drive somewhere local shut it off come back 30 min's later won't start,jump start all is good may run fine for a couple days then the same thing happens again,My wife moved it a couple days ago from around back of the house parked it out front came back 5min's later no start/crank,I've tested the battery a few times with my foxwell bt100 tells me good battery re-charge,so i re-charged the battery,tested again said same thing re-charge battery,took it this evening to a buddy's shop and used his mid-tronics tester checked battery and charging system the end result was good battery re-charge,my thought was maybe a internal short in the battery and my friend said the same thing,pretty sure I just need a new battery,Any other ideas where to look?

The battery is 3 1/2 yeaars old and the midtronics tester I used has a draw test built into it and passed the test no problem,the car started fine after the test was done so what ever issue there is wasn't present during testing I guess,

When the car fails to start or is slow to crank, you should verify the battery voltage. Maybe its not a battery voltage issue, but a bad starter, corroded connection, ground, CPS, etc... If the battery voltage is low during event like that, is it because the battery is bad, alternator is not charging or you have parasitic drain. You have to methodically diagnose.

How about it was nothing more then a loose ground at body,did replace the battery anyway cause this car isn't used much only put about a 1000 miles a year on it
