w211 cluster swap prefacelift/facelift
Hi all. Newbie here.
I have this 2004 s211 320 cdi with the Avantgarde cluster. I´d like to swap it with an Elegance cluster. Because I like it better
So I went ahead and got myself a 2008 facelift diesel cluster, desoldered the eeprom, virginized it and put the eeprom back in. Why a facelift cluster? Of course AMG menu while I´m at it. Went to the car, plugged in the virgin cluster ... but it doesn´t do anything. No lights, no display. And of course SD can´t communicate with it. So my questions are: is it possible to swap pre-facelift clusters with facelift clusters? Are there any wiring changes between those clusters?
It could very well be that the unit is dead anyway. But I hope to get some help here.
