Door lock going bananas
Hallo room. My 2004 E320cdi have started acting weird. When locking and unlocking the drivers doorlock goes up and down 4-5 times. The other 3 doors seems worling fine. Anyone with the same experience? Any quick fix?

Lots of so-called quick fixes on the forums. I tried them. The only thing that fixed it was replacing the door locking mechanism. About 1 hour and a few hundred dollars doing it myself. Be sure to remove the window trim before you attempt to remove the plastic rain shield over the lock mechanism. Search on this as there are threads and DIYs out there.

bout to tackle this one as well. i've read about the spring, and replacing it sometimes replacing it won't fix it correctly. i've ordered the entire lock mechanism since if you're going to do it once, don't do it cheaply on these cars. otherwise you'll end up doing it 3 more times....
