What is this wire in the seat cover???

What is this wire in the seat cover???
This is from a 2006 e320 non-heated seat cover, driver side. It is stitched or glued in the foam of the cover and appears to just loop in there.
I'm asking because I'm considering buying some replacement aftermarket covers off ebay and i do not think they have this wire.
Thanks in advance for any insights.

I definitely do not have a button for heated seats. I’m going to assume that the aftermarket covers will be ok.
