I have an 04 E500 and it’s electronic life is lagging behind. No GPS, Nav, camera etc. Is there a plug and play replacement for stock radio? What will fit and work and what do I need to do to get it to work?

Well most people get some Android radio which would have bluetooth and navigation. You'd have to install the camera so nothing would be plug and play there. They all require a bit of work. Only other option would be to upgrade to a newer version of Mercedes' NTG, but for that class, I think only 2009 had bluetooth for music although I could be wrong, it was a newer version of NTG and navigation was always a DVD in the trunk so nothing really plug and play and no camera.

There's a bunch of android units on Aliexpress, not too many people actually do this so no recommendations as to which one to get, just search for W211 android.

i installed a pioneer head unit using the enfig adapter kit. it is pretty much plug and play if you buy a matching harness for your new radio
