A/C not working

A/C not working

I took all the old freon out of the car and added new Freon A/C still doesn’t blow cold and it’s says A/c off I’ll press A/c and it still doesn’t work cud it be a bad compressor

Was 89' 300E, Now 93' 500SEL

Man we are in the same boat lol. I Just bought a new compressor last week because and did the recharge and i still have no A/C. Im going to get my car scanned this week to see what it comes up with. Was you just low on freon?

I don’t knw I’m still driving with no A/c I’m looking to take my car in to the shop as well i took the old A/C out put new Freon in but nothing still blows hot

Problem solve just had to add more Freon and boom I have A/C must make sure A/C reset is off

I have no AC right now. Overhead temperature sensor faulty (giving reading of -99*). Any tips on repairing/replacing?

So ur outiside temperature is reading 99 right might be a bad temperature sensor

my inside temp sensor is reading -99 (minus 99 degrees). I think that’s why the compressor is not engaging - it senses it doesn’t need to be engaged because the car is detecting an (inaccurate) inside temp which is cold enough lol

I didn’t have to change my Freon at all I just had to press the A/c Reset button and it start working again

should i omit the error code? how can i get rid of the error code without a scan tools?

You can't get rid of them without a scan tool so you better get one, makes life so much easier with these cars. Preferably MB specific, like iCarsoft V2.0.
