Hi Guys I just signed up as dont hate me I've been a BMW m3 owner for years. I sold my mint 09 and am looking to spend very little money if possible as I am building a house. Anyhow I was very active in the m3 forums and found sharing info etc to be fantastic. I know buying a Merc specially a older one with 200km on the clock isnt like buying a Honda but is the e300 somewhat solid.. I test drove it today and all seem to drive nice. It doesn't have air suspension so that major potential repair is spared I guess. That being said the only thin g I noticed was a little suspension noise(clunk) front left wheel well when going over a speed bump.. not sure if its a bug deal or not. I will be getting the car inspected if I were to push forward. But I thought is get a general feedback on a High milage 2008 e300 4matic Canadian car. It needs a detail like no ones business but I seem to remember mercedes paint in the 2000's to be good or am I mistaken ? Thanks in advance and yes I will continue to use the search function and learn more but thought it be nice to get present feeling from today on...

What's the vin? Use this vin decoder to see what options it has. We didn't get the E300 in the US so not really sure what size the engine is, but it's probably the M272 in another variant. Those tend to have intake manifold issues once you get up there in mileage like that car. I'd get a scanner that can scan for MB specific codes and see if you have any pending codes. Motor mounts also go, keyless go door handles if you have that option, check cv joints, etc.
