2007 e350 4matic wagon transfer case issue or ??
Hoping my fellow w211ers can offer some insight to my latest issue. 2007 E350 4Matic wagon. Thinking it is either Transfer case or transmission related. After driving 40 minutes or so on highway speeds, stop and back up to park, excessive chattering when in motion. Initially thought rear differential was the culprit as the symptom resembles a posi differential clutch chatter without the limited slip fluid added. As I read more, I am finding the 4matic transfer cases in these years are problematic. Has an issue on taking off from a stop as well. You think its in first gear ( and I know it is for a fact) until you go to accelerate and then it will bump as if there is excess play in the flex disc or there is excess play in a splined shaft in the transfer case where it mates to the transmission output shaft. Hoping to get some direction where to go. Thanks.

Out Of Control!!
your FUYAA wont work here and I would question any advice except given by MB mechanic---pay the diagnostic fee then come back and whine about questioning their advice
