Improving reception for my t-bone install

My dealer recently completed installing satellite radio in my 2005 E320 CDI using the reknown t-bone installation method. What a cool thing to be able to forward them the photos I saw on this site and have them nod and agree that this would be a great way to hide the antenna.

Problem is that I have satellite radio in my CL600 and my wife's C320 wagon and both have far superior reception to my E Class. If I even see a tree while driving my E Class, the reception blinks out.

Anyone else with the t-bone satellite install in their E Class have any suggestions for boosting my reception?

Since the time of my satellite installation, there have been some better methods.

Two of the methods are described in this thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ight=satellite

These include the scorchie method and one of Autowerks Direct's method.

Autowerks Direct has also come up with another method. It hides the antenna inside the rear deck spoiler.

You can find out more about it on their website: http://www.mbwerks.com/
