Falling standards at the dealer network?

High quality dealer service used to be part of the whole Mercedes-Benz experience. I am changing my old shape C-class for a used E-class, and have found the dealer sales service to be quite poor in the UK, at least in the London area. Because I am buying a used car, I have visited several dealers. When I ask about dealer fit acessories I find that the service and parts departments also seem to have gone downhill. Has anyone else experienced this or am I just expecting too much.

Solely on my own experience I must agree with you. We had an excellent small family run Mercedes-Benz Dealership, everyone knew everyone, be they parts, service, sales or recption. You were always made welcome and treated like a friend.

Now the dealership is an hours travelling time, it is a huge complex that has to deal in numbers. They do the best they can and they work hard trying, but.........
