What are these wires?

From my 'Welcome' post, I have a used 2005 E320 (4th owner)

While removing the trunk liners in prep for an audio upgrade, I noticed the three connectors (Orange wires, and two foam covered connectors) on the passenger side (US model) not, well, connecting, to anything.

Any advice? If i knew what they went to I could search for what they go to but since I don't know what they go to, I'm kinda at a loss here.

Oh, and this model 'has' HK on the front door panels, but no factory HK amp where the amp should be, and no factory sub, or rear deck speakers. Methinks somewhere along the way it was 'misplaced' prior to sale?

Orange wires are the fiber optic loop to the HK amp.

Well, my blinker fluid WAS low too.

So maybe.

No worries.

Since there is no HK sub, or anything else resembling the HK system (i'll have to dig for the amp - it exists, just can't find it) aside from the grille on front door, my path forward is clear. AFTERMARKET!!!

konigstiger,

would you happen to have attachments for the rest of the fiber system?

EDIT: Also, question - why is the fiber connection "Open"? shouldn't there be a loop at the connection, to.. close the loop?

No, the other end is also open underneath the tray in front of the trunk.

I saw that page, thank you.

I have all the panels out of the trunk - just curious if you had pdfs of the locations and install/removal guides for all the other points in the Fiber loop.

I appreciate all the assistance you've provided throughout the forum.
