question about lowering airomatic via computer
I've done a search on this but can't seem to find out exactly how much you can lower the airomatic through the computer. I think a 1 inch drop would be nice on 19's. Does anyone know? Also, anyone know what I should expect to pay someone to do this? Anyone know if Scorchie can do this?
Thanks,
Bugs
Anyways check the E55 as there is a detailed post with screen shots on how to do this somewhere..

They give you 3 little mixer bottles, which begs to ask "why 3?" In the instructions, they indicate that if you leave the unused portion in the small mixer bottle overnight, you have to discard the bottle and contents. I have no idea why. You would think that perhaps the content have set, but why must you throw the entire bottle away?
Finally, how much for this mod and who is Scorchie?
Thanks,

The airmatics can be lowered 3 ways, by a lowering module (about $2K), by computer (not sure what Scorchie charges, but probably much less than $2K), and mechanically by moving the sensors (free).
The lowering modules are the most expensive, and probably the hardest to install. Some are height adjustable.
Computer is probably one of the better ways, but you need to find someone like Scorchie (In the Bay Area) to do it. Most of the Dealerships will not (unless you know them). You can only readjust the height, however, by having the procedure repeated.
Lowering it mechanically is the cheapest, and involves fooling the height sensors into thinking the suspension is too high, in which the airmatic lowers the car. You can use washers or a bracket or a combination thereof to lower the front. The rear sensor involves remounting the sensor to effect the height. You can readjust the height easily by adding or subtracting washers in the front, and by moving the sensor in the rear. This is actually pretty simple, but you do need some mechanical skills. Some are weary of this last method for voiding of the warranty for the airmatic
