Knocking sound from w211 engine while idle

Knocking sound and loud w211 engine while idle
Hi, in the attachment i tried to record the engine sound it makes, this sound was after driving on an autobahn doing a bit speed so warm engine, EGR was cleaned recently, injectors were checked a while ago but that time it was still making the sound so might not be injectors. I got glow plug malfunction but the sound from glow plug is only at the time i start the car i believe...
Not sure how will sound in audio file, but the engine is very loud.
Any ideas what this sound could be ?

The knocking sounds just like my E320 cdi. Are you talking about the chuffing sound?
Failed glows won't make a sound but can cause a rough idle for a few seconds before the cylinder heats enough to ignite the diesel and even that is only an issue at colder temperatures.
Have you removed the serpentine belt and spun accessories by hand, including the pulleys and tensioner?

The serpentine belt can be inspected for odd wear patterns (might be the source of the chuffing sound) and everything the belt touches can be spun by hand to listen for odd noises.
Did the noise you're noticing begin after the pulley and belt replacement?
The engine noise in the video, to me at least, sounds normal.
Possible you have an exhaust leak? Might be able to amplify that by having a willing assistant loosely cover the exhaust tips while the engine is running then see if you can notice anything under the hood.

Could not hear knocking sound

sorry i realised it is not that clear as you said, i added a new sound to this comment if you would like to listen, i think it is more clear, it's like it keeps hitting something as it runs if you know what i mean and the sound is really loud
