Battery for E280

Hi
What battery would my E280 need? Does it have two batteries? My car is key start only - no stop/start system.
VIN: WDB2110542B198601
I'm just asking as car is now nearly 15 years old, and I don't think battery has ever been replaced. Cranks over okay and starts. No warning lights/messages.

One battery. Note anything grayed out does not apply to your VIN.

Just a month ago, I was in the same position as you. I have an 08 e300, and original battery from when the car was new. Even though the battery started the car fine and everything worked, it failed the Load test at the mechanics'. So I bought the following Group H8 AGM battery from Costco (Canada):

https://tires.costco.ca/Batteries/Pr...ive&lang=en-ca

Item #2387650 if the link doesn't work for you.

Hi Robert
Thanks for your reply. There is a Costco store nearby to me but I have yet to join. They may have the battery I need.
@konigstiger See image below. My current battery. Do I really need an AGM battery?

You have an Excide AGM now. so why would you not go with AGM next? The only choice is flooded cell which is a maintenance headache. The advantages of AGM outweigh the disadvantages/

True. After reading more about AGM batteries it seems they are the way to go. Thanks!
