I may have found a keeper E550 but it is not local so I am trying to eliminate as many surprises as possible before making the 3 hour drive to check it over. Would anyone be willing to run a carfax on this vin?

The engine number is above the timing chain guide # threshold, all of the expensive brake nightmares are warranted so I am hopeful that a clean carfax can narrow the odds for surprised to the airmatic system.

Do some research into Carfax reports as there are many problems with Carfax experienced by consumers. See if there is another vehicle history reporting service other than Carfax which you can trust.

You should also run an autocheck. My carfax didn't show an accident but the autocheck did. Check the marketplace, I think there are vendors there that will sell the Carfax/Autocheck in the $5-$6 range.
