Any idea for this engine noise?
Hello!
So this ticking noise existed for almost years. After a cold start engine does not make this sound. when the engine is warmed enough (driving some distance), it makes a ticking sound from bank 2.
No check engine light, so I scanned with my cheap scanner and no codes appear. I scanned code with local shop and they pop out the bank 2 camshaft position sensor and magnet, but I heard if those CPS get bad check engine light will appear.
I checked with the Mercedes dealership last year and they did not get any active codes. Can be this noise from a bad CPS or magnet?
Oh, engine is M272 3.5L 2008, currently 78K mile
