W211 sound issues

So i have a strange issue that i can’t get to the bottom of. I have the 810 option on my car wich means i have the harman kardon audio system, basically there is a strange radio static no matter what i do, radio and an fm modulator both having this issue, the vocals just sound like there was radio interference or something , i have already checked the antenna amplifier and other basic things but i have no clue to where to even start looking , maybe someone has an idea

Following this--I have the same issue. Everything sounds like bad radio static. And I'm sure it's not the antenna because I have an old iPod hooked up to mine and it still sounds the same. Car's been sitting for 2 years and I don't know if some wiring went bad.

I'll try to do the same. Please let us know if you find anything. I'm not very good with audio and electrical but I'll see if there's anything online.

so i confirmed that the static noise is only when using radio fm function, burned a cd and boom no static at all, all sounds really amazing .
so its going to be something that has to do with radio.

May be caused by bad ground, see attached bulletin (no need to replace bracket).

i checked the agw , the amplifier its self was loose from the bracket , i removed the bracket , tightened the agw , then removed the plug as instructed and tested resistance , showed me 0.04 ohms , since it was nothing close to 1 ohm i put everything back together thinking that tightening the agw would fix this issue , and that it was the reason that the ground was bad or something but still no, the issue persists.

Is there any way to factory reset everything on the audio system?

I have the same issue. For me it's with both radio and using the 3.5mm input. Extremely annoying. I took it to Best Buy but they wouldn't touch it...said I need to take it to someone who specializes in Mercedes audio....or the dealer. So for now have given up and am just using a Bluetooth speaker.

hmm, sorry to hear that, but i appear to have a similar but different problem, i might be looking at something connected to antennas or something like that. I just have no clue to where to look and nobody can answer my question the audio i have from cd is amazing , but radio is really terrible
