E350 Front shocks riding high
Just bought a 2008 E350 with 140k miles. Car runs smooth but the front shocks have a higher ride height than the rear. I can fit my whole hand in the front wheels wells where as I can only fit a couple finders in the rear.
Is it the front or rear shocks or springs that needs replacing?
Thank you

Front coil overs were probably replaced and the mechanic never bothered to adjust the ride height. It's a common problem on w211s. Most mechanics are too lazy to read the instructions that come with the part.

The coilovers needs to be disassembled and adjusted down by moving the ring into a lower groove.

I replaced my struts with Bilsteins. There's 10 ring height settings on it and it comes on the highest setting. You'd have to remove the entire strut and spring in order to set the ring at a lower setting, I forget whether it's at the 2nd or 3rd ring from the bottom.
