Got add 1 liter engine oil at next refuel, when I did that now car shake in idle
Hey Guys! I have a 2005 E320. This week I'v been getting the "add 1 litre of oil at next refuel". Anyways I did that today, and tonight when I turned on the car it was very rough and shaky in idle. I turned off the car right then. I assume I now have too much engine oil in the car and the sensor was not right regarding adding the 1 litre of engine oil. I do not want to drive the car and thinking of getting one of those oil change at home services to come by and just do a whole oil change. Is it most probable that the sensors were just wrong? I checked the oil level and it said it was "okay". My model has a sensor check and does not have a dip stick.

After I let the car sit for a long time I turned it on and the shake is gone. Do you think there is any possibility that maybe the engine oil already in the car needed time to mix with the top up oil? I have 1,200 KM left till service, so maybe the engine oil in the car was not in the best conditions and didn't mix well with the new oil. I will book an engine oil change this week though and be on the safe side.

my 2006 320 CDI holds 8 quarts, if your having someone else oil change, you need to stand there and watch because there are thousands of incompetent oil changers using crap oil or not putting in enough.
