Parking lamp issues

Hi guys!

so I just recently got this E320 and I have some light issues.

I got this car with 3 light issues and I was able to fix one. The side marker lamp. I changed the license plate bulb but it still doesn’t work. They main issue I wana fix right now is the parking lamp. The parking lamps were switched to LeD. I want to either switch them back to normal or if I can find a replacement led I will do that.

anyone have any ideas?

Corrosion

Let’s start with the parking lamps - I replaced my front lights about two years ago because of the yellowing and the failure of the left headlight bulb wire. The lack of working space and time-based coercion and yellowing are all good reasons to replace the headlight sets and taking off the bumper isn’t that hard a job. It is much more intimidating than it is in practice.

Using a different bulb wattage and volts like an LED May look “cool” but it injects variables that you don’t want - go back to OEM.

Parking lights - these have failed a lot on my car and at some point the corrosion in the bulb sockets warrants changing the socket. This can be tedious - and delicate. No way around it - you need the socket and some extra wire and you need to watch a few videos and take your time with them

license plate - you probably have corrosion in this as well. Get a replacement bulb socket. Should be a relatively easy splice and replace.

Take 12 volts and see if the LED will power on not connected to the car? IF it doesn't more than likely it's burned out. Almost looks burned/darkened by the picture you posted.
To my knowledge you can't just buy the OEM led modules? I might be wrong but when I retro fitted OEM HID projectors in our w211 I had to gut other headlights to get the LED modules. I couldn't find them anywhere else...etc.
