Cosmetic Differences Between E320 and E500
Can someone please list the cosmetic differences of the two models, if any? I know in other classes, different models usually come with different body kits or some sort of small/minor difference, is this the case with the E class?
I see both on the roads and I've seen both in the showrooms and to be honest I can't see any visual difference.
What about interior differences (e.g. Digital climate control as opposed to manual)?
TIA.

Is there any difference in the OEM wheels between the E320 and E500, apart from size? I thought that the E320 came with the "single spoke" design -

and the E500 came with the "double spoke" design -

- but I see E320s with the "double spoke" design, so maybe the two styles aren't model-specific. The MBUSA web site, for its part, illustrates both models with either design.

Here is the list so far:
Standard Features on the 500 that are optional on the 320
1. Rear Badging consists of a "50" followed by a final "0"
2. Dual Digital Climate Control
3. Airmatic Suspension
4. Premium Leather
5. 17" Wheels
Is that it?

Ours are both equipped with the Appearance pkg...
and there are absolutely no visual differences between the two (except for the climate controls). Oddly enough, though, I noticed that there's a gap (about 1 to 1 1/2 inches) between the bolster of the seats and the center console in my 500, but absolutely no gap in my husband's 320.

Except I remember reading something here a while back saying the 320's had an automatic air diffuser in the lower front grill while the E500 did not because of the engine size. At freeway speed, the air diffuser would close its self so to speak and create less aerodynamic drag and then it would open again below a certain speed to allow more ventilation into the engine bay. Dunno if it's true or not, so if I'm wrong, I won't argue, I just need to be learned.

DWP,
Just to clarify,
At least in the 2003 model year, those with the sport package got the 5-spoke single spoke wheels. Those without the the sport package got the twin-spoke wheels. I much prefer the 5 to the twin-spokes, but YMMV.
Both of MiamiGirrl's cars (pictured above) have the 5 spoke wheels. LeBurpor's car (also pictured in posts above) has the twin spokes.
