The car and computers won't even turn on! So to start, they ordered a new ignition, then they'll replace it and see if they can work their way to the center of the problem.....

Thanks for the update.
I hope they have given you a suitable courtesy car. This is certainly NOT what anyone would expect of ANY new vehicle.

Thanks for the very speedy response,
John

Looks like every Tri-State MB dealer is on that list!

Anyway back on topic, any word since the ignition was replaced?

Were you playing MP3s at the time? Sounds strange, but my car totally shut down today while it was playing MP3s. No kidding! Somehow the single disc player could not decode this particular track and it totally tripped out -- shut down everything as if I took the key out and walked away. Luckilly, my car was in the garage at the time.

Apparently, this single disc player has a hard time reading Variable Bit Rate MP3s. I have noticed that sometimes it will play a VBR MP3, but have a hard time picking up the next track. Other times, it won't play it at all. On this particular track, it stalled, clicked, hissed, then went bye-bye.

The car started back up, but I had to quickly take it to radio mode and eject the disc.
