Hey everyone, thanks for looking.

I'm in the middle of replacing cv boot on passenger front axle. Have it all done and am at first step of reassembly, putting the axle back in. Anyone have any tips for clicking the axle back into place? I can't seem to get it to fit back into the spline. I see that there's a clip at the tip of the axle, so maybe that's what's hanging up. But I feel like i'm not even getting past it or getting the splines started.

All install guides just say install in reverse order, or "push in and back out again". But I feel like i'm not even grabbing onto the splines yet.

For the googlers: the clip at the end of the axle was the issue.

Took it off and axle slid right in. So I pressed it together tighter, reinstalled, and eventually the axle clicked in.
