2006 E350 Base 7 Speed help request
I have a 2006 W211 (4/2005) VIN: WDBUF56J76A796616 -It's a base model with a 7 speed auto
Last night after getting off the highway, the car would not shift. It was in Comfort mode, I assume stuck in 2nd gear. Cycled the ignition, problem remained.
I got the following 2 codes from my Foxwell Scanner:
2350 - received from the control module 'N93 (Central Gateway (CGW/ZGW) control module)'
2204 - Signal fromY3/8n1 (Turbine Speed Sensor) is unavailable
Can someone confirm that it's the conductor plate? Also, I'm having difficulty searching parts because I'm unaware of the transmission codes. I did a search and came up with the following: ( Trans: 427 (7 speed auto) G906 (trans code 06) and GA auto trans ), but they dont translate.

I had the same car and same problem. It was the conductor plate for me. What I did at the time was service the trans, swap the conductor plate, and put it all back together. Mobile tech came to the house - plugged in the old - took the software off of it. Plugged in the connector to the trans to complete the work - tech programmed the new. Problem fixed and the trans was updated to VSG3.

I’d like to re-light this post with some new info. I cleared the codes and the transmission is shifting, maybe a bit harsh on slow downshifts. I did notice of evidence of leaks where it was parked, and trans fluid pretty wet on the bottom of the transmission. Is it possible that my codes are from a low fluid level?

Check where the leak is coming from and if the fluid leak is being wicked into the wiring harness. Not an uncommon problem that causes trans issues.
