Crank but no starts

Okay guys so this is my second post, the car is a 2004 E500 4Matic Wagon.
As stated in the title im having a crank no start issue, occasionally the car will in fact start & will run good, but on those starts, it struggles to start (meaning the car will crank for 3,4,5,6 seconds ((this has to be done twice)) & on that second crank it will start). I’d say 50% of the time that it does start & I begin to drive it around, it will either begin to misfire & I completely start to loose power (I will basically loose the ability to accelerate, the car will begin loosing speed, & upon pressing the accelerator it will only be able to maintain the speed it’s falling to, but not Increase it). Or it will completely just stall out and I’ll have to do my best job to get it somewhere safe.
The current fixes that I have done are as follows:
-New fuel pump (the whole thing, left side - right side, everything is new)
-New battery
-New spark plugs (all 16)
-New Crankshaft position sensor

I had the car also taken to a mechanic & he told me he had done some “work on it” which I’m not so quite sure of anymore.
He claims he:
- Changed the MAF sensor (today I checked it & it turns out it had not been changed)
- Sealed some vacuum leaks ( which I haven’t verified as I don’t know how to)
- Cut the cats and straight pipped it (due to the cats being bad & the straight pipe was the cheaper alternative) (it does make it sound just a lil nicer though)

All of the fixes have been done within the last two months. The current codes I’m getting are:
P0140 & P0141 (which I believe have to do with the cats) & since they’re no longer there, they might just have to stick around ? I’m not sure
&
P0106 (which is what led me to check the MAF sensor)

I’m currently trying to get a hold of a Fuel pressure gauge to check if that’s my issue because I want to believe that it’s a fuel issue. The pump does work though, as it can be heard pumping when the key is moved to the second click or position.

Any more info needed please ask as I am dying to get this car working ASAP. I’m starting a new job soon and this is the only vehicle I have available at the moment.
Cheers -Chris
