I have the CR Max, vehicle 2006 E320CDI, I had a presale question and its capability compared to your model, they told me that it did. But there are issues with the CR max
1. I am unable to use ABS brake bleeding because it says the function is not available.
2. there doesn’t seem to be any way to look at the glow plugs or test the control module
3. The check smooth engine running function only shows four injectors, other tests also only show 4 as well.
4. Fan shows 90% when its not even spinning, I can’t find a way to just turn on the fan to test it.
I have more issues as well.

you have a 6 cyl engine? How many injectors does it say you have?

Hi,
I am planning to buy iCarsoft scanner, I know that I cannot expect same functionality as on real WIS/EPC.
My question is more about should I buy iCarsoft MB V3.0 or iCarsoft CR MAX 2022.
My garage is only Mercedes, but my sister and her boyfriend do not have Mercedes (yes I need to persuade then on getting one of them.....) so diagnosing VW or Hyundai could be useful for me/them.
My question would be here, if anybody knows, can CR MAX 2022 do all which can MB V3.0 for Mercedes, since my only worry would be that the general one could lack some of the functions MB V3.0 has?

I wish there was a forum for scanners here because I am disappointed with my CR max, it can’t bleed the sbc, Shows not available. It shows only four injectors out of six, I have the OM648. Also I am unable to find out where I can look at the glow plugs, I don’t see the GP controller module. There are also other issues. I am composing a letter to iCarsoft tech services to see if they’re going to address these issues. Oh and my most recent software of any listed vehicle is 2019, I bought my CR Max last year 2021. The opening screen proudly displays “PROFESSIONAL”, there should be a Scanner forum, maybe with even sub forums to dissect features.
If to somebody means something, I have found out that CR Max and MB v3.0 have same features for Mercedes, except CR max supports other vehicles as well.
Would you maybe recommend some other diagnostic tool for this(can be only Mercedes), Autel maybe?

I do have iCarsoft scanner (EU Pro multibrand version), and thought it works well until I took the jump into XEntry (MB tool).
For XEntry I cleaned up an older (i7 4th gen) laptop, upgraded to SSD, bought the Tactrix OpenPort J2534 close (AliExpress), and downloaded a XEntry package via YouTube (cheaper than iCarsoft since the laptop was a write-off by then). Though I cannot do coding, it is a ton better than iCarsoft. I cannot tell about the Autels..
