Will dvd nav be standard on E500?

i dont get it, how come ml500 which has a msrp of 44000 has the navi as stansrd equipment, but teh e500 which is a higher class model doesnt? what kind of marketing strategy is that? bunch of MB BS.

Perhaps the standard nav on ML is a marketing strategy.
The ML has tremendous competition and (no offense here) frequently scores below some of its competitors in head to head comparisons. (I counted no less than 62 SUV's currently on the market last time I did a search).
In the 'luxury SUV' category in particular, perhaps MB feels ML needs this bit of edge in order to go toe to toe with X5, Navigator, Rover, Lexus, etc.
MB needs to be aggressive in this segment.
The E class has far fewer peers and stands on its own quite well.
