W211 dvd/cd stuck

Hi does anybody know how I get a stuck dvd/cd stuck from the main player in the car of a w211, the player in the center console?

is there a secret button I can press to eject it?

I’ve tried holding the power button and eject at the same time but that doesn’t work.

Do I need to take the whole unit out?

at the moment it’s trying to play the cd that stuck and keeps flashing in between the radio and DVD player so I can’t listen to anything.

any help would be much appreciated.

Plenty of threads in this forum discussing this very common problem. Two choices: remove unit and disassemble or simply replace. Here are replacement part #s with 2118705390 being current that should be compatible to shop used:

Hi, I also have similar issue. Is the "Current part" A 211 870 53 90 a newer design (e.g., with bluetooth etc) than the original part (A 211 870 38 89)? Also, between changing it to an Android based head unit and change to A 211 870 53 90, what's the pros and cons? Thanks!
