HELP! Navigation (2006 E320 CDI)
New member here! I am having problems with my 06 CDI's navigation. Everything works perfectly, BUT the location. It is showing I am 75 miles from my actual location. Here's what I have done with no joy!
1. Ordered/installed an aftermarket gps antenna
at the spliter on the rear fenderwell in the trunk.
2. I also connected the antenna directly to the
navigation unit.
3. Connected the antenna to the plug in on the
right side of the trunk.
4. I have tried 2 factory gps navigation disk.
Again, the location shows I am 75 miles away with both the original antenna and the replacement antenna. Everything else works perfectly including direction guidance (but from the wrong location).
HELP!

Th GPS is giving the location. If the Antenna is not working, the GPS can't locate the car coordinate.Aftermarket GPS antenna may not be compatible with COMAND system.
SOLVED!
GPS working perfectly now! Stupidly, I did NOT put the aftermarket GPS antenna (Ebay $8.45 shipped) on the roof of the car;I had it in the trunk! In the trunk, it was receiving "0" satellites;I am now receiving 7 or 8! FWIW, I have plugged the antenna directly to the navigation unit. The replacement antenna is now in front of the original OEM antenna. The cable is neatly hidden under the rear glass rubber.
