A Few E320/E500 Questions

Hi:

I have a few questions:

1 - How much are you guys getting off the msrp on 05 E320/500's?
2 - How much should I be able to get of the following cars:

E320:
319 Lighting Package
322 Apearance Package
325 Rear Seat Package
Eletronic Trunk Closer
Panorama Roof
$56,460

E500:
322 Apearance Package
325 Rear Seat Package
Eletronic Trunk Close
Panorama Roof
$61,660

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My salesman offered $2,000 off MSRP, but it was over the phone and not in person with check in hand.

I have one question: where are you located? That bears upon the deal you might expect to get. In theory, even M-B dealers are subject to price competition, the more dealers, the more competition.

On 2005 E320/E500, there is not too much negotiation. Since salesman quote $2,000 off MSRP. Start your side with $3,300 off MSRP, then meet the salesman somewhere in the middle (NOT over the middle) in the end. The $300 extra dollars is for starting negotiation purpose (mind game).

I think we got our 2005 E320 4matic for slightly less than invoice (like $1500-1600).

Invoice. Good deal, but apparently hlkc got a much better one. From his original post, $7000 off MSRP, which makes it well under invoice. I thought the dealer had a 3% holdback off MSRP if they got full marks on the survey, but hlkc said something about 6%... With 6%, the deal is possible, but 3% it's the dealer losing money to make that deal...

If possible, wait for the last day of their monthly sales period. Most salesmen will do anything to get an extra sale that day. That means they are usually willing to go real low on the price. Also know that it is not always at the end of the month.
