Im trying to convert my cars suspension from avantgarde to classic or elegance.
The rear is pretty straightforward once you chew through this MB nonsense
Basically you have 3 types of shims. Mercedes only admits the existence of 1. Mercedes also doesnt recognise the suspension setup on any classic or elegance trim models.
Or do they?
Here is what I've found;
The rear coil comes with symmetrical shims on top. This can be 3 different sizes. Avantgarde being the smallest depth. A211325058464 23mm
A211325048464 15-19mm
A211325038464 9-12mm (depending on where you look)
Now so far this is pretty straightforward.
But from here on its all guess work. Because Mercedes is being a joke about this.
You need a left side and a right side of the fron Spring shims (or coil shims). Or do you?
This is what I've found so far; A2113210284 -not sure no sizes A2113210184 - not sure no sizes A2113210084 - this is what you get if you order from MB. But this is avantgarde. The slimmest. This will lower your car.
Now what I cant check is what would they actually give me if I had an older Classic or older Elegance trim model. Because I have this newer Avantgarde one.
