Quick Question-Radio Head unit

Radio head unit is not working mostly but randomly does come on.. Im going to replace it but the problem is until then it is draining the battery. I DO NOT get the mercedes logo at start up which thru my research has told me it is the head unit and by passing the other components will do nothing..correct me if Im wrong. I do have fiber lollipops on hand.

If I pull the fuse to the radio will that keep the battery from dying until I make the repair?

Thanks!

Im guessing they refed the rear with his now removed amp and I would like to put everything back to normal for now if possible? Have a wiring diagram but not sure if this will work?....or what to look for?

One device in loop intermittently malfunctioning will cause MOST to malfunction. Need to identify device looping each individually, see MOST docs previously posted. Are you certain it is the radio and not some module draining the battery causing consumers (i.e.: radio) to shut off. If not, visit battery drain first.
