W211 blown center speaker

I've recently got myself a Aux Cassette adapter (if I recall, my Audio 20 w/CD changer has no Aux input), and while playing a song, I noticed that the center speaker sounded scratchy, and a quick disassembly proved that the speaker's cone was stiff and hard to move.
Getting a replacement shipped to my country would simply cost too much, so I wondered if it would be perfectly fine to just unplug it? Since I never heard any sound playing from the center speaker in FM and CD playback, would it affect the HK amp from not having any load at the center channel?

Amp doesn't care about the missing speaker. More harm would be to use the broken or wrong kind of speaker.
