Cracked rubber

Hey guys,
Got an S211 with a crack on the window rubber seal.
Does anyone know of a product that can glue rubber?
I want to try fix it before the rubber completely separates.
Thanks

Is replacing the seal an option? If it was my car that's what I would do.

Tom. I will tell you from experience, that rubber is in much poorer condition than it appears. If you remove the window, it will be crumbly and "gooey." I could not find just the rubber and had to replace the entire window/rubber on each side to repair.

Yup got the same problem around the rear door quarter windows on my wagon.

I might cut what's left of it and run a bead of RTV.

This place is a joke.
This is normal wear and tear for the 211, you'll need to replace the entire glass as the seal is permanently bonded to it. Better hurry before they stop making them.

I did both of mine as well as the rearview mirror surrounds and the windshield scuttle rubber. These are absolutely common wear items.

Thanks guys for the suggestions, appreciate it.
Seems to be a common issue, my roof rail seals are also cracked up.
Do any of you have a part number for the entire window/seal on both sides?
Would like to get this problem fixed, especially before they discontinue them.
Thanks.

You'll have to look it up by your VIN number. Be aware there are at least 2 colors of glass here in the U.S....blue and green. There may be other variations outside the U.S.

It would help if you pick up your own EPC/WIS software - then you can find all the part numbers and factory workshop repair instructions. Look on ebay for it. They run in a VM and don't cost much. Would also suggest you practice safe computing and don't let that VM access the host internet...
