E320 Radio Ads make me suspect E350 is imminent in the US
I have not heard any radio ads or seen any television ads for MB in this market with the exception of advertisement of inexpensive leasing on the C-Class models.
Of course, they say nothing about the E350 on the horizon.
What I think is really happening is MB is trying to avoid a glut (before it happens) of 3.2 liter engines or complete cars now that Europe is getting the E350 in the spring with US to follow soon after. They want to put the E320 idea into peoples heads so they complete the transaction before word gets out of the new E350. If people know a better model is coming, they will postpone the purchase. I don't think MB is actively telling dealers, either, that the E350 is on the way.
Not helping is the popularity of the E320 CDI, probably stealing at least a few thousand cars worth of sales from the gas E320 since it is only $1,000 more and fuel prices continue to escalate.
