Auxiliary battery location

Edit: after removing power from the car, you will most likely get an ESP failure notification on the instrument cluster when you first start the car. Turn the steering wheel lock to lock a couple of times to reset the parameters of the steering angle sensor. That will remove the warning on the instrument cluster. That should be all that you have to do other than resetting Auto up and down on the windows and possibly resetting the radio stations on the entertainment unit.
Also, do not have the key fob in the ignition switch when you connect the new battery. The arcs as you attach the battery clamps can cause blown fuses or damaged electronic modules in the car. If you have keyless go, keep the key fob at least 6 ft away from the car so no modules are active when the new battery is connected.

To the OP, do NOT take this advice lightly, it is worth a ton of money, $$$. An arc, and you can be paying top $$$ to replace the ESL, EIS, or some other expensive module. With the KEY in the ON position, you can take the ECU as well.
