GPS Antenna and headliner
Bad luck w a parking gate which decapitated my GPS antenna. Has anyone else replaced it or found a suitable cover? The antenna works well but I am worried water will get inside and short the electronics.
Second question: is there a way to get access to the antenna without removing the entire headliner (ie just removing the back part of it).
Thanks in advance,
N

Not sure of the brand or part number but it was listed on these forums. Got it from eBays for under $20 but I had to make sure the new GPS antenna cable end connector was the right type to screw into the MB GPS module. There is another antenna for the MB S.O.S. System (similar to GM On-Star driver assistance) but I did not need that one other than to satisfy the MB S.O.S. system until I could get the obsolete MB S.O.S. system disabled with STAR de-programming. What a relief that was as that freaking outmoded S.O.S. warning was always coming up on the dash
