E320 CDI Diesel fumes?
I have noticed Diesel fumes in my garage from time to time. It goes from quite strong to a mild odor. I'm going to take the car in for the SBC software update and will ask to have the Diesel odor checked.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I have had an 87 300TD Turbodiesel and never had any odor except one time when there was a leak.

When we took delivery in Sindelfingen last month, it appeared that we were getting diesel fumes coming in through the open sunroof at road speeds, and there was the odor of diesel fumes in the cabin with the sunroof closed and the climate control set on "recirculate".
The car hasn't yet arrived home from Germany, but I've already asked our dealer to check the care for a possible exhaust leak when it gets here.

I hyave heard of instances where that has been very slight diesel seepage from fuel linesand the fuel has collected somewhere!! under the engine. Sadly I cannot recall the exact location.
Your right to get it checked, there should be NO smell whatsoever. Our car like most is garaged and there is no trace of any seepage or smells.
