Chrome headlight rings

Hi,

I notice on the MBUSA website that these are an option...

Does anyone have them, how do they look? Is there any reason they couldn't be retrofitted? Do they require bi-xenon or anything?

Would they be too bling?

Are you talking about the chrome rings that goes around the headlights? If so, They're just simple chrome rings with double sided tape that you place over your headlights. It's really a matter of taste if you like them.....I personally do as they cover the gap. Mine aren't from MB but most of them look about the same. Here are some pics of my chrome headlight rings.

Because it looks better! Once you have them, the gap you see without them looks unfinished. To me it's an immediate improvement.

I agree

The first thing that I did was get the dealer to put them in free of charge. I also had the "Clear Braw" for the front A pilars and inside the door handles. Here in Colorado, I have to replace my windshield about once every 3 years and if you don't cover the front end it gets chiped. They put gravel on the roads to increase traction when it snows here.

If you look at www.performanceproducts.com you can find them there but they are a bit different. Since I also have the protective 3M covers ont he headlights, the dealer put extra double sided tape. The MB ones are just a border around the outside of the lights, but the ones from performance products have chrome in the light where the blinker and the low/high bean are separated. I am not a faan of that one.

I feel that the gap needs to be covered and they don't look ethnic since the chrome matches the grill and the chrome trim on the bumpers. It really finishes it all up nicely.

Is there a difference between the $100 set from formymercedes.com vs listings on ebay for $40?
