Arnott Air Spring

I am installing the Arnott air springs in my 09 E350 4matic wagon. The crimp rings on the dust cover came off of one. I was able to get the top ring back on, but not the bottom. Arnott says I should send back to FCP for replacement.
Has anyone used a stainless screw clamp? Or, is the crimp ring that important for the dust cover?

I did this job about a year ago. One of mine came without the Voss fitting so FCP took it back and replaced it NP. But... that one had no Voss fitting either. I called Arnott and they were good enough to just send me a Voss fitting no charge. In your case however I'd do what Arnott says and just send it back unless they'll send you the correct ring and you have crimping tools. Why fool around with a faulty part even if it is just the dust cover.
