Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and I hope this issue hasn't been covered before, I searched online but couldn't really find anything, maybe I missed something.

The issue is with the stock factory stereo as follows:

When the engine is not running the stereo works fine, all functional with sound to all speakers.
With the radio on if I start the car the sound cuts off after 10 - 30 seconds of operation but the rest of the stereo functions all work - radio, cd changer, tape etc. Just no sound.
If I start the car with the stereo off, then turn it on there's sound for a short time, then cuts off.
If I switch off the engine, key out and then start again the sound returns but as soon as the car is started the sound cuts off again.
