Question Quad Exhaust Tips for E-500

In anticpation of the December arrival of my E-500, I am considering a minor "mod". The quad exhaust tips offered by Deutschmotor.com look quite nice ($200.00). Having limited mechanical skills and not wanting to "cut" the bumper, I was wondering if anyone has purchased them from Deutschmotor (other posts refer to products purchased elsewhere). My specific concerns are:
1. Bolt-on in 15 minutes as claimed;
2. No modification of the rear bumper;
3. Redirected exhaust does not impact the paint;
4. Muffler sound is acceptable (quite subjective).

Thanks for your input.

larryssf,

I BOUGHT MINE CLOSE TO $200 WITH SHIPPING.

1. Bolt-on in 15 minutes as claimed;
THE ONE I GET WAS CLAIMED BOLT-ON BUT IT ENDED UP NEED TO WELD.

2. No modification of the rear bumper;
YUP.

3. Redirected exhaust does not impact the paint;
YUP.

4. Muffler sound is acceptable (quite subjective).
NO SOUND AT ALL, JUST FOR THE LOOK.

THANKS!

I put these exact tips on my car 2005 e320. They are not very easy to install and the length of the 2nd brace (that connects to the muffler) is not the right length. After about 2 hours of fussing with it I finally had to take it to shop and have them put it on (took them about 2 hours also). Worse I really don't like the look. From the back they are fine but from the side you can clearly see that add on tips do not connect to the rest of the exhaust system. The solution to this issue is to cut the bumper so the tips can do on higher and hence not be seen from the side, but I haven't done this yet and hence don't know for sure that this will solve the appearance issue.

If you want I'll take some pics and post them.... just let me know.

but without cutting the bumper ... it will look weird right? like it's too low or something?
