Labor cost question
Good afternoon everyone, I would like your input on what is a fair price for labor, even a ball park, for my E550 service, I bought the parts, all Mervcedes OEM myself.
Front and rear pads/androtors install
Bleed brakes
replace brake lines on all 4 wheels
Serpentine belit changed.
For just labor, what would you say is a fair price for a qualified trustworthy MB trained mechanic to charge?

As noted per member, were you live will dictate price. I can tell you my indy's shop rates are like $120-160.00 per hr, but being he is my guy I get the discount rate of roughly $120.00 per/hr. I would honestly say if you're having doubts about a shop prices check out another, but beware " the grass isn't always greener on the other side". GL

Yeah, I would buy the rear emergency brake shoes and the spring kit/hardware kit. I did the rear rotors/pads and wasn't thinking about the emergency brake so when my mechanic tossed those in, the rear brake shoe actually fell apart. Basically half the pad material cracked and fell off the brake shoe. Threw it all back together anyway and it made a scraping sound afterwards. Ordered new shoes and the spring/hardware kit on Rockauto and had to do it all over again. Try repairpal, yourmechanic and openbay to see what kind of prices you get in your area.
I'd also wonder about why you're replacing brake lines, that will probably be expensive.
