I have yet to receive a SBC recall notice.
Unless you have an early W211 (which get new brake fluid), all that happens is that they program in a counter of brake applications so that after 100K applications they can alert you to take your car to a dealer to have the brake system inspected for wear. Unless you use your car as a taxi or keep it a long time, you will never see the message.
I am in no hurry to waste a day and to drive an hour each way through heavy traffic to get this recall done. I'll have it done when I have a reason to go to the dealer. So far it looks like that might be a long time given how infrequently MBUSA gives out free oil changes.
